HAIR FACT OF THE WEEK!!!!
Did you know the average person's hair grows about a 1/2 of inch every month. That's about 6 inches a year. With this being said, Imagine how long it took the ends of your hair..to actually become the ends of your hair. This part of your hair is the most damaged, being that it has been through the most processing. Environmental, chemicals, heat, Chlorine..etc. These are some of the main factors why it is so important to trim your ends. Most people should get a trim every 8 weeks. This keeps your hair stronger, less prone to split ends, and more likely to grow longer. This process is a must if you want to maintain a head of healthy hair. If growing your hair longer is one of your main focuses, paying attention to your ends is one of the most important things you can do. In addiction to trims, it also good to use daily moisturizers on your ends and to use a thicker kind of moisturizer at night. Using these tips you will find your hair to be longer, stronger, thicker, and less prone to breakage. Nexxus has a good product line for your ends..find it Here!

PRODUCT REVIEW!!
OK guys..so I was in target a couple of months ago and I was going down the hair and makeup aisle like I always do when! I ran across this product. It's called Shea Moisture. It's 100% organic with all natural ingredients like i Love!.They have a whole line of products..from shampoo..to deep conditioners..to curl pudding. This is a great product for curly/course hair. It's very moisturizing which is the key essential to our hair's health. Each product ranges around $10 each, which isn't that bad. You can find them at your local Target or you can go right Here!

PRODUCT REVIEW
Being that I am Pro-Natural..meaning I'm all for non relaxed hair..I've been searching around for products for my natural clients that will help define there natural curl. During my search I came across Mixxed Chicks. This product was designed by two women of color. Besides shampoo and conditioner, there is a list of other products in this line that boost about how well it will define your curls. To be totally honest I wasn't impressed. I felt the shampoo was drying out the hair and It left my client's scalp itchy. Even though the label claims to be "moisturizing" I felt it actually was the total opposite. I did however enjoy the leave in condition in MODERATION. I felt it did tame the curls and it smells amazing. I would recommend the leave in conditioner to anyone looking to tame there curls without your hair looking dry or hard..but that's where my recommendation ends..sorry : )
My Work
This client wanted to add length to her hair, so I decided to do a partial weave. I used 16 inch extensions to get the desired look. Her natural hair is shoulder length and brown in color. I used a Jet black semi permanent color on her, and cut layers throughout the front. The finished product looks natural and is very versatile.
